This morning I realized there's only about a month left of the summer. I don't know where all the time's gone but I figure if I don't do something quick, I'm going to wake up to September saying 'ready or not, here I come'. I think I know what I want to do to make the most of it and that's get another job since I won't be able to work as much in the fall with classes and everything. I may as well take advantage of the extra time while I still can.
For a while, I thought my summer project would be to adopt a stray dog but then I found out we can't have dogs in the apartment, which is pretty much a bummer. Maybe if I can't find a second job, I'll just find a place to volunteer. There have to be a lot of animals affected by radiation if they managed to find their way out here. Sometimes I think maybe I should be studying to be a veterinarian. There's a lot of brilliant doctors around and lots of people who want to help other people but animals can't really help themselves, right? But then when I think about it, I really want to help people too, so I think I'll just keep studying and volunteer like I said.
Anyway, does anyone know of a place that's hiring or might potentially be hiring if the right person came along? I don't mind if it's a ways off as long as I can get there on the subway.
